We did not utilize the 9F due to grip levels not being especially high.Įvan began by utilizing the AMV 3F, which is generally regarded as the standard wheel within the range, and a wheel that is remarkably versatile. In the above graphic the AMV Lynx falls between the 3F and the Tiger. The mix of greasy conditions and medium-low rubber build up made it difficult to build core tire temperature however, the level of track surface abrasiveness along with higher ambient temps caused tire wear to be rather high.Later in the day the track would become greasy, especially on Sunday when ambient temps were highest throughout the weekend. Rubber buildup on the track was medium-low for most of the weekend.Some key challenges that came from these conditions: Weather was consistently sunny with highs in the mid to high 80’s (see weather report below).Wheels tested included the AMV 3F, AMV Tiger, and new AMV Lynx.

Team driver Evan Batt competed in the event alongside AMV Kart Components Principal, Paul Montopoli in the X30 Masters category. While this new schedule creates a need for added tire changing on Friday, it also sets the stage nicely for back-to-back tests on new rubber. Saturday and Sunday consist of respective LCQ’s, pre-finals, and finals. For 2022 USPKS has implemented a unique new schedule that begins with optional Thursday practice, followed by three rounds of official practice on Friday, with Sunday and Saturday qualifying (in that order) capping of the day on Friday. The first weekend of March marked the opening round of the 2022 USPKS series, taking place at the Orlando Kart Center (OKC) in Orlando, Florida.
